Sydney schools educating Hollywood offspring

It’s no secret that celebrities move in the same circles, and with NSW currently overrun with Hollywood actors filming they will soon be running into each other at school pickup.

As summer holidays draw to a close and filming for Marvel blockbuster Thor: Love and Thunder well under way in Sydney, actress Natalie Portman and husband Benjamin Millepied have enrolled their children Aleph (9) and Amalia (4) in one of the top eastern suburbs schools.

And it just so happens to be the same school where homegrown actress Isla Fisher and husband Sacha Baron Cohen enrolled their three kids late last year when they relocated from the US to Bondi.

Portman, 39, has slipped into life in Sydney relatively unfazed. She is often seen shopping at Double Bay Woolworths and swimming at a Vaucluse beach on weekends. The Black Swan star has even adopted popular Australian children’s franchise Bluey, photographed reading a book about the ABC cartoon puppy to Amalia aboard a superyacht.

Now that Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have also decided to call Australia home for the foreseeable future, it’s understood the in-demand actress and her country crooner husband have enrolled their two daughters at an exclusive school in the Southern Highlands, close to the family’s Sutton Forest estate.

Meanwhile, the children of lesser celebrities are making their own school debuts. Five-year-old Axel, son of celebrity trainer Michelle Bridges and her ex-partner Steve ‘Commando’ Willis, started primary school last week, while five-year-old Scout, the younger daughter of Grant Denyer and wife Chezzi, made her ‘big school’ debut in Bathurst.

Hairdresser Tom Cole returns to Double Bay

Just when you thought Double Bay couldn’t get any smaller, the hoity-toity locale is due to welcome another salon.

Emerald City can reveal former Cole salon co-owner Tom Cole is opening a new hairdressing salon following his split from wife Mariah Rota last year. Rota remains at the helm of the salon the former couple owned together.

Brighton-raised Cole, 30, will open his new joint on Cross Street opposite The Intercontinental Hotel and next door to another new resident of the suburb - Bills Cafe.

Cole’s return to Double Bay comes after he was embroiled in an extramarital affair with eyebrow artist Kristin Fisher whose salon just happens to be a stone’s-throw from Cole’s.

Let’s hope the mean streets of Double Bay are big enough for the two of them to co-exist, as Emerald City is told Fisher was devastated when Cole dumped her late last year.

Victims of missing millionaire Melissa Caddick’s alleged fraud speak out

The once-quiet street of Wallangra Road in Dover Heights has seen more than its fair share of police, TV cameras, photographers, and journalists in the last three months since millionaire Melissa Caddick disappeared without a trace the day after the AFP raided her $6 million home.

Caddick went missing on November 12, and police believe she is very much alive and possibly hiding out in Queensland. Tonight 60 Minutes returns to screens with the latest developments in the case, and re-enactments of Caddick’s last known movements which were staged at a nearby Dover Heights home.

It seems no friends or family have offered a renewed plea on the program for the missing mother and wife. Instead, Sixty will air interviews with former friends and clients who claim they were duped after entrusting Caddick with their hard-earned savings.

Emerald City has been told that Caddick’s husband Anthony Koletti - who is not accused of any wrongdoing - has rejected all offers for an interview despite repeated door knocks from numerous outlets.

Even as recently as Thursday, 60 Minutes journalist Tom Steinfort and his camera crew could be seen attempting to get Koletti to elaborate on his wife’s disappearance.

The 60 Minutes special will include former homicide detective, bald fox Gary Jubelin, discussing Caddick’s likely whereabouts.

Emerald City is told the 48-year-old father of two is dating 33-year-old tattooed glamour model, Christina Dietze from Melbourne. While neither responded to requests for comment, whispers are rife the pair have struck up something more than a friendship. Buckley is social media ‘friends’ with Dietze, who goes by the name “suga_possum” on Instagram.

Buckley is understood to be living in a South Yarra apartment owned by a sports executive while Dietze resides in neighbouring Prahran.

Just before Christmas Buckley and his former wife announced on Tania’s Instagram page that they had separated 11 months earlier. Emerald City reported the split in March last year, only to be told by Collingwood media manager Stephen Reilly “This rumour is false and widely discredited some time ago.”
